Don't trust us. Run the check.
The encryption code Awaken Journal runs, the rules it follows, and the tests that check it, all public. Anyone can verify it with one command.
Public, and linked straight to the source
Check it yourself
With Python installed, open the crypto folder and run:
pip install argon2-cffi cryptography
python verify-vectors.py vectors.json
The checker shares no code with ours. If both agree on every vector, the encryption does exactly what the Standard says.
What isn't public yet
The app's own source code is private for now. The parts your privacy depends on, the encryption, its rules and its tests, are public today.
